It has been disclosed that the fee collected by United American Moving and Storage is a broker fee.
This fee covers the arrangement of a fully licensed and insured motor carrier to handle your
household goods and possessions. Carrier charges will be paid C.O.D. (unless pre-arranged to pay
by credit or with debit card) directly by you, the customer, to the independently owned carrier in two
payments. The first half is due upon pickup, and the second half is due upon delivery at the
intended destination address. United American Moving and Storage does not participate in the
collection of carrier payments, nor do we share in the proceeds of carrier charges. Once your
payment is processed with us (required deposit amount), our dispatch department will immediately
initiate the process of locating a licensed and insured carrier to transport your household goods.
You acknowledge that these transactions are separate between you and the assigned carrier, which
is a different business entity. Since our fee for service begins immediately, you understand and
agree that our broker fee is non-refundable after 72 hours, with no exceptions. All cancellation
requests must be sent to support@unitedamericanmoving.com within 72 hours of making
payment. Should you cancel this agreement after 72 hours and/or after a carrier is assigned to your
move, all services on behalf of United American Moving and Storage will be considered “services
rendered,” and there will be NO REFUND for our fee. You will not be eligible for a refund if canceling
your move within fourteen (14) business days of your scheduled pickup date. The 72-hour
cancellation window will be null and void. If the first scheduled pickup date is within fourteen (14)
business days of paying our fee, then your deposit is non-refundable. For all orders canceled after
(2 hours, United American Moving and Storage can apply our non-refundable fee collected from you
to any future move for a period of 12 months from the date of your original order. If the move is
canceled within 72 hours of being booked, United American Moving and Storage will keep 15% of
the deposit for processing fees. All date change requests must be made in writing within seven (7)
business days prior to the pickup/packing date. Failure to request a change within this time frame
will result in an additional deposit of a $750.00 rescheduling fee. By signing this cancellation policy,
you agree to the statements within.
Charge will show as ‘United American Moving and Storage’ on your credit card or bank statement.
